Kristina Tolordava

Kristina Tolordava serves as the Chief Specialist at the International Relations and Protocol Division of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia and Secretary of the CEC Gender Equality Council. She has been actively engaged in the field of election administration since 2016, focusing on international cooperation, institutional capacity building, gender mainstreaming, and strategic communication within the electoral process.


Ms. Tolordava holds a Master of Arts degree in Social Sciences (International Relations, with a focus on the Baltic Sea Region) from the University of Tartu, Estonia, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities (Art History and Theory) from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgia.


Her professional experience includes collaboration with international and non-governmental organizations, such as the Latvian Platform for Development Cooperation, where she supported program management and cross-cultural initiatives, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, where she managed human resources within the “Teach and Learn with Georgia” program. Earlier in her career, she worked in the cultural and creative sectors, including at the Center of Contemporary Art in Tbilisi and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, gaining valuable experience in international communication and project coordination.


Ms. Tolordava’s expertise encompasses international partnerships, protocol management, strategic planning, gender equality initiatives, and election observation cooperation. Her work also extends to designing and implementing programs that promote women’s political participation and institutional gender responsiveness within election management bodies.


Fluent in Georgian, English, and Russian, Ms. Tolordava is recognized for her collaborative and responsible approach, as well as her commitment to advancing equality and transparency in democratic governance. Her professional interests include human rights, gender studies, and environmental issues.
